Fiber Optic Cabling
Who installs fiber optic cabling in Phoenix, Arizona?

What is the difference between single-mode and multimode fiber?
Single-mode fiber (OS2) uses a small 9-micron core to carry light long distances with very low loss, making it ideal for campus backbones, carrier links, and runs over a few hundred meters. Multimode fiber (OM3/OM4/OM5) has a larger core that is cost-effective for shorter, high-bandwidth runs inside buildings and data centers. What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A cabling?
Cat6 supports 1 Gigabit Ethernet and 10G over short distances (up to 55 meters) at 250 MHz, while Cat6A supports full 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters at 500 MHz with better shielding against crosstalk. ROI typically recommends Cat6A for new builds, PoE devices, and any infrastructure that needs to support 10G in the future, and Cat6 where budget and current needs make it the right fit.
Do you certify the cabling you install?
Yes. We test every cable run with a calibrated cable certifier (such as Fluke) and provide documented permanent-link or channel certification reports, which are typically required for manufacturer warranties and IT acceptance.
Can you cable a building that is occupied and running?
Yes. ROI routinely performs structured cabling, moves/adds/changes, and telecom-room cleanups in live, occupied facilities — scheduling around your operations and after-hours when needed to avoid disruption.
Is your cabling ready for PoE cameras and access points?

What is the difference between WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E?
WiFi 6 (802.11ax) improves speed, efficiency, and performance in high-density environments over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. WiFi 6E extends WiFi 6 into the newer 6 GHz band, providing more clean spectrum and less congestion for dense deployments. ROI specifies the right standard based on your devices and environment.

What is sound masking and how does it work?
Sound masking is the addition of a specifically engineered, ambient background sound — similar to soft airflow — distributed evenly through a space.
